FAQ's

  • Can you give me a quote?
Our online booking system provides an approximate price guide to our treatments however, we do not provide exact pricing without in-person consultation and assessment. We do not provide pricing information over social media. Treatments are tailored to each individual and we provide the appropriate amount required to best achieve the desired result per individual, therefore prices may vary when it comes to cosmetic injectables. Our skin treatments are set pricing and can be found through our online booking system.
  • What if I'm late for my appointment?
Appointments are often booked back to back, so please be on time out of respect for other clients and your practitioner. To ensure that you receive your full treatment please allow adequate time for travel and parking. We ask that you contact the clinic asap if you are encountering any delay, and we may be able to accommodate. Unfortunately, if you arrive too late to your appointment this may cut into your treatment time too much to be able to provide proper service, and or affect the following patients appointments and ultimately the clinic scheduling of the day; therefore you may be asked to reschedule and a cancellation fee may be charged at the discretion of the clinic owner.
  • What if I need to cancel or change my appointment, will I be charged?
It is required you acknowledge the cancellation policy when booking any appointments online. We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all appointment cancellations or changes. We will send appointment reminders through text message 3 days in advance of your appointment date and try our absolute best to confirm your appointment times well in advance to help you avoid any cancellation fees. Failure to give us more than 24hours notice for an appointment change will result in enforcing our cancellation policy.
  • What if I miss my appointment?
If you fail to attend your appointment, with no efforts of communication in accordance with our cancellation policy, you may be charged a fee. We provide adequate appointment reminder services to all patients bookings. A DNS - Did Not Show status will be marked against your appointment and file, and any repeat offenders will be denied from booking any future appointments with the clinic.
  • Why are injectable treatments expensive?
Prices reflect all aspects of the service, not just product used. You are paying for a premium treatment by a highly educated and skilled practitioner, their time and expertise. The practitioner pays high expenses for risk liability in the treatments performed, as well as their investment in high quality products and equipment, continuous training and education and much more. Also consider your post-treatment review, and emergency support - should you need it, is included in that service fee.
  • How long does dermal filler last?
This varies and depends on individual metabolism and type of product used. On average dermal filler can last from 3-15 months, in some cases up to 2 years in certain areas.
  • What are the dermal filler side effects?
Some swelling for 24 hours post treatment is to be expected. Bruising can last anywhere from 2-14 days post treatment. More severe but rare adverse events can occur, and are educated thoroughly with consent prior to any treatment during consultation. We take all possible educated measures to avoid complications and are thoroughly trained in managing adverse events and dissolving dermal filler in case of any emergency, There is no obligation to proceed with treatment should you decide it is not for you.
  • Can you get rid of filler?
Yes, non permanent HA dermal filler can be dissolved, with an injectable medication. Dissolving is utilised in the event of a suspected vascular occlusion and in elective dissolving situations. Previous dermal filler can hinder new results, and sometimes the best way to get the desired results is to dissolve and start fresh. Perhaps you've had dermal filler previously that you just don't want anymore, or are experiencing migration. Side effects include swelling and bruising. Rare but possible side effects can occur such as allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis.
  • What if I have urgent concerns post treatment? (emergency)
We provide as much follow up support as needed post treatment and are happy to provide further review appointments or, in some cases Telehealth support. Sometimes it's a matter of further education, support and reassurance and we are more than happy to provide further consultation for your queries. All cosmetic injectable treatments are recommended to book a 2 week follow up review appointment. 24/7 Emergency contact is provided to our cosmetic injectable treatments, and we endeavour to support you through any concerns or adverse events. Patient safety and welfare is top priority, therefore clinical review of adverse events is essential, and we will provide escalated intervention with consultation of the prescribing doctor, and further emergency support as deemed appropriate.
  • Can I get a half mL?
We do not sell half mL treatments. However when having a dermal filler treatment, you do not need to utilise the full syringe. The practitioner uses what is required to achieve the best result and maintain safety. A half mL or 0.7 for example, may be administered, but the full product is paid for as the rest must be discarded. Filler product is never shared or saved for later for infection control and sterility standards. Fees are for the service not the product.
  • Are there side effects to anti-wrinkle injections?
Possible side-effects include redness, bleeding or bruising from the site of injection. Depending on areas treated such temporary effects could include: over-active eyebrows or spocking, eye-lid, eyebrow or mouth drooping (ptosis), or creation of asymmetry. Often, these issues are easily fixed during review at the 2 week mark. In other cases, they should self-resolve within 1-3 months. Some clients experience a mild headache after Anti- Wrinkle injections. If this occurs, take Paracetamol as needed.
  • How long do anti-wrinkle injections last?
This varies and depends on individual metabolism, individual muscle anatomy and dosage, however on average Botulinum Toxin A (muscle relaxants/ Anti-wrinkle injections) last around 3-6 months. Added lifestyle factors can contribute to shorter longevity, that will affect metabolism such as frequent intense exercise.
  • Why does the price vary?
Certain treatment areas can require a reasonably standard set dosing, therefore the price can be pre-accounted for. However most treatment areas are tailored dosing to each individual based on their anatomy, muscle strength and metabolism. Therefore different amounts given, can equal different pricing. Typically pricing reflects an average dose for the specified area, and any additional product required, will be charged on top.
  • Can I have numbing cream?
We do not typically use numbing cream as the time it takes for its effect, outlasts the time of performing the treatment. We find ice can be very helpful if necessary, however it is very minor discomfort and short duration. A very tiny needle is used.
  • What downtime will I need after a treatment?
Downtime for treatments vary quite a lot depending on the treatment performed and each individuals response. For injectables and PRP it is not uncommon to have bruising and/or swelling up to 14 days post procedure. We encourage you to always consider your calendar and any important social events you may have. It is best to arrange 2-4 weeks before any important events for treatments. Many patients succeed in treatment without bruising, however due the nature of the treatments no practitioner can make this guarantee and we always advise to prepare for adverse events such as bruising, swelling and more.
  • Do cosmetic injectables have risks?
All injectable treatments include various risks, from minor to major. It's always advised to anticipate some minor adverse events such as bruising, bleeding and swelling. More significant but rare are infections. Anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments have different more severe risks. We ensure that thorough consultation and education is provided for each treatment. We prioritise a high ethical standard within our clinic and will only treat patients where we assess suitable. Patients are never obligated to proceed with treatment. Informed consent is always obtained before commencing any treatment and consultation with a prescribing doctor is involved where necessary.
